PHP 5.3 ffmpeg builds

This project is no longer maintained

Here are my builds of the ffmpeg PHP extension, compiled against PHP 5.3.

All versions should work with any version of PHP 5.3, to avoid issue use the version that matches the version of PHP you have installed. GD support is enabled in all builds and requires the GD extension.

Date Version File
24/04/2010 0.6.0 PHP 5.3.2 (updated libavcodec)
24/02/2010 0.6.0 PHP 5.3.1

  1. These builds only work on Linux.
In order to get a DLL file that’ll work on Windows, you need to compile them with a Windows compiler such as Visual C++.

  2. I am using Zend CE 5.5.0 with PHP 5.3.8. Any chance you have a more recent build that may work with my versions? When I try to turn on in Zend I get an error.

Tried going the process of building my own with your instructions, failed with lots of errors:
/work/ffmpeg-php/trunk/ffmpeg-php/ffmpeg_movie.c:74:31: error: ‘MAX_STREAMS’ undeclared here (not in a function)
    /work/ffmpeg-php/trunk/ffmpeg-php/ffmpeg_movie.c: In function ‘_php_get_video_stream’:
/work/ffmpeg-php/trunk/ffmpeg-php/ffmpeg_movie.c:154:44: error: ‘CODEC_TYPE_VIDEO’ undeclared (first use in this function)
/work/ffmpeg-php/trunk/ffmpeg-php/ffmpeg_movie.c:154:44: note: each undeclared identifier is reported only once for each function it appears in
    /work/ffmpeg-php/trunk/ffmpeg-php/ffmpeg_movie.c: In function ‘_php_get_audio_stream’:
/work/ffmpeg-php/trunk/ffmpeg-php/ffmpeg_movie.c:167:44: error: ‘CODEC_TYPE_AUDIO’ undeclared (first use in this function)
    /work/ffmpeg-php/trunk/ffmpeg-php/ffmpeg_movie.c: In function ‘_php_open_movie_file’:
    /work/ffmpeg-php/trunk/ffmpeg-php/ffmpeg_movie.c:260:5: warning: ‘av_open_input_file’ is deprecated (declared at /usr/include/libavformat/avformat.h:1050) [-Wdeprecated-declarations]
    /work/ffmpeg-php/trunk/ffmpeg-php/ffmpeg_movie.c: In function ‘_php_get_decoder_context’:
/work/ffmpeg-php/trunk/ffmpeg-php/ffmpeg_movie.c:486:28: error: ‘CODEC_TYPE_VIDEO’ undeclared (first use in this function)

Any help would be greatly appreciated

    1. I’ve not tried compiling it recently as I’m back using Ubuntu on my servers for the moment which has the extension already included in the distro.

Have you tried compiling from source?
